In this leadership role, Ellen will oversee HR strategy, employee engagement, talent development, and compliance initiatives across BRES’s growing regional and national footprint.
Ellen has been with Block Real Estate Services, LLC for over a year, most recently serving as Senior Manager of HR & Insurance Compliance, where she successfully led initiatives in people analytics, engagement planning, and benefits administration. Her leadership helped streamline HR operations and ensure strong alignment between workforce strategy and the company’s business objectives.
Prior to joining BRES, Ellen worked at URBN (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie Group, Free People & Nuuly) as Human Resources Manager, where she led employee relations, development programs, and talent strategies across multiple retail and corporate locations. Her focus on performance management and culture-building contributed to higher engagement and stronger leadership pipelines within the organization.
Before that, Ellen spent over eight years with Target, advancing through several leadership roles, including Store Director and Executive Team Leader. During her tenure, she successfully managed multi-site operations, performance optimization, and workforce engagement programs across multiple states. Ellen’s experience at Target honed her ability to connect business strategy with employee empowerment in high-volume, customer-focused environments.
Ellen began her career with the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan, where she developed foundational skills in community leadership, program management, and employee development. She holds a Master of Business Administration in Leadership and Organizational Health from the University of Saint Mary, equipping her with a strong foundation for driving organizational growth through strategic HR leadership.
