United States, October 2025 – KalVista Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to transforming treatment for hereditary angioedema (HAE), has appointed Linea Aspesi as its Chief People Officer. With more than two decades of progressive HR leadership experience across global biopharma organizations, Linea will spearhead KalVista’s people and culture strategy to support its continued growth and innovation.
Before joining KalVista, Linea Aspesi served as EVP and Chief Administration Officer at Editas Medicine, where she was a key member of the Executive Leadership Team driving the company’s transformation into a leader in in vivo gene editing. She partnered with the CEO and Board on culture transformation initiatives, workforce planning, and organizational design, leading a 30-member Culture Committee that successfully enhanced engagement, governance, and leadership capability—earning Editas recognition among the Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work.
Prior to Editas, Linea was Chief Human Resources Officer at Forma Therapeutics, where she led the HR function through a pivotal phase that included the successful US $1B acquisition by Novo Nordisk. She played an instrumental role in negotiating the people-related terms of the acquisition, formalizing a hybrid work model, and advancing talent and DEI strategies to foster collaboration and innovation.
Earlier, as Chief Human Resources Officer at Saniona, she was part of the Executive Committee, working closely with leadership in the U.S. and Denmark to scale late-stage drug development and commercialization programs. She co-created Saniona’s vision, mission, and values, implemented a global performance management system, and launched the company’s first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.
Her prior experience includes senior HR leadership roles at Sobi – North America and Sanofi Genzyme, where she guided complex HR integrations, workforce transformations, and global talent programs across manufacturing, R&D, and commercial operations. Throughout her tenure, Linea demonstrated a consistent ability to build agile, high-performing teams and strengthen organizational culture during periods of rapid change.
