Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, October 2025 — Ben Chidlow has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer at Hickinbotham Group, South Australia’s largest and longest-established building and development company. In his new role, Ben will lead the company’s financial strategy and operations, supporting its mission to deliver sustainable growth and excellence across its housing and development portfolio.
Ben joins Hickinbotham Group from Bickford’s Group of Companies, where he served as Financial Controller and Finance Manager, leading operations finance across a diverse beverage portfolio that included bottling, distilleries, wineries, vineyards, and agricultural operations. He oversaw key areas such as cost management, capital allocation, and M&A initiatives, driving efficiency and financial discipline across the group.
Prior to that, Ben spent over eight years at Deloitte Australia, rising to the position of Director – Tax Services. During his tenure, he advised multinational corporations and large private enterprises, with a focus on private business advisory and complex taxation structures. His earlier experience at Thnk Advisory involved core accounting, audit, and consulting responsibilities, laying the foundation for his career in strategic finance and advisory leadership.
Ben’s appointment comes at an important juncture for Hickinbotham Group, as the company continues to strengthen its leadership and financial capabilities in line with its long-term vision of building innovative and high-quality communities across Australia.
