New York, United States, November 2025 — Sandra Buchanan has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Tradeweb, a leading global operator of electronic marketplaces for rates, credit, equities, and money markets. In her new role, she will lead Tradeweb’s global human capital strategy, focusing on talent development, organizational culture, leadership excellence, and HR transformation across its worldwide operations.
Before joining Tradeweb, Sandra Buchanan served as Chief Human Resources Officer at GCM Grosvenor, a global alternative asset management firm, for over seven years. During her tenure, she led firmwide people strategy, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, and HR digital transformation. Her leadership was instrumental in scaling the organization’s talent infrastructure to support business growth and innovation across international markets.
Prior to that, Sandra spent over four years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she held dual roles as Global Head of HR for Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) and Global Head of Talent Acquisition for Global Banking and Markets (GBAM). She played a pivotal role in strengthening the bank’s global talent acquisition strategy and building high-performing, diverse teams across financial hubs worldwide.
Earlier in her career, Sandra spent more than seven years at Goldman Sachs, holding several senior human capital roles including Global Co-Head of Recruiting and Global Head of Revenue Recruiting. She was responsible for overseeing global junior talent programs, campus recruiting, and diversity hiring initiatives for divisions including Securities, Investment Banking, and Asset Management. Her work significantly enhanced Goldman’s global employer brand and strengthened its talent pipelines.
Sandra began her HR career with JPMorgan Chase, where she spent eight years in progressively senior roles across HR and marketing. As HR Business Partner for Corporate Banking and Head of University Relations, she led leadership development programs, MBA hiring, and employer branding initiatives for the Americas region.
In addition to her corporate roles, Sandra currently serves on the Board of Directors at Angi, where she provides strategic guidance on talent, culture, and organizational development.
Sandra Buchanan earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business, one of the world’s leading institutions for business and management education.
