Before joining KarmaLifeAI, Shishir co-founded Niki.ai, a pioneering AI-driven platform that aimed to bring the next 150 million “Bharat” users into the digital economy. Backed by marquee investors such as Ratan Tata, Unilazer Ventures, and Recruit Partners Japan, Niki.ai offered voice and local language-based digital commerce solutions, connecting users across India to essential financial and lifestyle services. Shishir’s entrepreneurial leadership at Niki.ai demonstrated his deep understanding of India’s digital and financial inclusion ecosystem.
Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Shishir served as Head of Strategic Initiatives at IndiaReads.com, driving key projects for scaling digital reading services, and worked with Energo Engineering Projects Limited in business operations and strategy. His early professional years were marked by strong academic and leadership engagement during his time at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, where he completed a Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering.
