Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, November 2025 – Ather Energy has announced the appointment of Vivek Anand as Non-Executive Director, marking a significant addition to its leadership as the company accelerates India’s electric mobility revolution. With nearly three decades of rich experience spanning FMCG, telecom, paints, consumer healthcare, and real estate, Vivek brings an exceptional legacy of driving financial transformation, governance, and strategic growth across global markets.
Vivek is serving as Chief Financial Officer at Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer. In this capacity, he is playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, enhancing capital efficiency, and advancing its global mobility initiatives under the VIDA brand.
Earlier, as Group CFO at DLF Limited, Vivek spearheaded a major business turnaround, elevating the company’s market capitalization to $27 billion and transforming its financial architecture. His tenure at GSK Consumer Healthcare was equally noteworthy, where he oversaw India’s largest consumer-sector divestment — the $4 billion sale of brands like Horlicks and Boost to Unilever — setting a new benchmark in the industry.
Vivek’s global leadership journey also includes strategic finance roles at Telenor, Unilever Singapore, Unilever Bangladesh, and Hindustan Unilever Ltd., where he led multi-country operations, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management initiatives. His remarkable contributions have been recognized with accolades such as Best CFO (2018) by Financial Express Group and Most Promising Young CFO (2021) by Business World.
With his appointment, Ather Energy strengthens its governance framework and financial stewardship, further solidifying its mission to lead India’s transition toward sustainable, connected, and intelligent electric mobility solutions.
Ather Energy, founded in 2013 by Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain, is one of India’s pioneering electric vehicle companies, known for its smart and connected electric scooters, including the Ather 450X, Ather 450S, and Ather Rizta.
