London, England, United Kingdom, November 2025 — Mohan Iyer has been appointed as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Bupa Care Services, part of Bupa Global, India & UK, effective December 1, 2025. Bupa, an international leader in healthcare, is dedicated to helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world through high-quality health and aged-care environments, innovative digital healthcare solutions, and health insurance offerings that put patient and customer needs at the centre. In his new role, Mohan will focus on accelerating Bupa Care Services’ ambition to lead in digital and innovative aged care, while building integrated technology foundations to support Bupa’s long-term strategy across the UK and international markets.
Before stepping into the CIO role, Mohan Iyer served as Group Head of Technology – Functions at Bupa, where he was responsible for shaping strategic technology capabilities across critical domains including People, FinOps, Procurement, Payroll, Sustainability, Internal Communications, and the Colleague Digital Experience. His leadership was instrumental in building cohesive, scalable technology strategies aligned with Bupa’s evolving global priorities.
Prior to joining Bupa, Mohan spent more than twelve years at Barclays in London, where he led the bank’s global people technology transformation. His work included the convergence of multiple clusters into a unified HR technology suite, the delivery of advanced global HR data platforms, migration to SaaS and cloud ecosystems, and enabling a highly interoperable digital HR environment. His leadership strengthened Barclays’ capabilities across analytics, operational efficiency, and experience-led digital transformation.
Earlier in his career, Mohan Iyer held transformation and delivery leadership roles at Accenture, driving global HR delivery for SAB Miller across Africa, Europe, and Latin America, and leading SAP and programme management engagements for Lloyds Banking Group. His tenure at ARINSO, IBM, and Claverham Group (FHL) saw him executing multi-country SAP, payroll, and HR systems transformations across Europe, the Middle East, China, Africa, and Latin America, building deep expertise in multi-region delivery, people technology, and payroll solutions.
Mohan began his professional journey at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., where he led programmes in New Product Development, Market Information, and Voice of Customer for the automotive sector. His early grounding in customer insights, programme leadership, and cross-functional collaboration laid the foundation for his future success in technology-driven organisational transformation.
