Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, November 2025 — GT Insurance has announced the appointment of Nick Slessor as its new Chief Executive Officer. With more than two decades of global leadership experience across insurance, operations, organisational transformation, and business strategy, Nick steps into the role as the organisation continues to accelerate growth and strengthen its position as a trusted specialist in transport insurance solutions.
Nick most recently served as Chief Operating Officer ANZ at Cover-More Group, where he played a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, elevating customer experience, and strengthening organisational capability across Australia and New Zealand. During this time, he also contributed to strategic foresight initiatives through his concurrent capacity as Chief Scout at Equifax, focusing on innovation, future-readiness, and emerging market insights.
Before joining Cover-More, Nick spent close to four years with QBE Insurance, where he progressed through senior leadership roles, including Executive General Manager – Global Shared Services and General Manager – Operations. During his tenure at QBE, he led large global teams, strengthened operational leadership frameworks, accelerated business performance, and championed a culture of alignment, capability uplift and transformation across multiple markets.
Prior to QBE, Nick built a significant part of his leadership career over almost seven years at Willis Towers Watson (WTW). His responsibilities included serving as Head of Transformation – International, Chief Operating Officer & Transformation Leader, Asia Pacific, and later Chief Operating Officer, Australasia. In these roles, he led multi-country transformation programs, strengthened regional operating models, and drove large-scale change initiatives focused on operational optimisation, commercial growth, and organisational design.
Nick’s earlier foundation was shaped at GE Capital and GE Money, where he held successive roles managing operations, transformation teams, large-scale service environments, and strategic integration initiatives across lending, motor solutions, and financial operations. His ability to lead through complexity, energise teams, and deliver measurable operational improvements became defining attributes of his leadership journey.
Across his career, Nick has been recognised for his energetic leadership style, strategic clarity, stakeholder alignment, commercial acumen, and commitment to building environments where people, performance, and purpose align.
