Carlsbad, California, United States, November 2025 — Harsha Raghavan has started a new role as Sr. Director, People Strategy at Viasat, joining the Viasat Government HR Leadership Team and reporting directly to the Chief People Officer. In this strategic position, Harsha will focus on organisational effectiveness, leadership development, strategic workforce planning, and people-centric transformation across Viasat’s central teams, including Engineering, Operations, IT & Security, Market Entry, and Transformation.
Harsha’s most recent experience includes serving as Senior Human Resources Consultant at Pure Storage, where he provided HR consulting support across multiple high-impact business groups such as the Product Business Group, Digital Transformation Group and the Hyperscaler line of business. During this period, he partnered closely with HRBPs, ER and Legal teams and leveraged AI, Workday reporting and people analytics to influence decisions relating to compensation, talent movements, and performance management.
Before Pure Storage, Harsha spent more than eight years at Kite Pharma as Director, Human Resources, where he led complex global programs in career path design, talent management, workforce planning, and organisational change. His tenure included spearheading leadership forums, driving enterprise-wide onboarding enhancements, guiding compensation planning aligned with total rewards frameworks, and playing a critical role in leadership selection and assimilation. His contributions had a direct impact on talent retention, employee engagement, and organisational culture.
Prior to Kite Pharma, Harsha spent nearly five years at Biogen, where he progressed from Senior Manager to Associate Director, Human Resources. During this period, he scaled and managed a talent sourcing centre of excellence, improved internal talent pipelines, reduced time-to-fill significantly, streamlined vendor management, and executed sourcing strategies for business-critical functions. His work supported HR transformation efforts and enabled Biogen to build strong and sustainable leadership talent pools.
In the earlier part of his career, Harsha worked with Randstad USA as a Talent Acquisition Recruiter for Fortune 500 clients, generating strong revenue impact and developing relationships across the technology recruitment landscape. His entrepreneurial and startup background between 2001 and 2010 included roles such as Co-Founder at ApplyGo.com, Practice Group Director at TalentBurst Inc., and Product Manager at nett10 Digital Limited, providing him with a strong foundation in building organisations from the ground up.
