New Jersey, United States, December 2025 – Omnicell has announced the appointment of Dave Ford as its new Chief People Officer, marking a strategic move in the company’s ongoing transformation journey within the healthcare technology sector. In his new role, Dave will lead global HR strategy, drive organizational development, and champion talent programs aligned with Omnicell’s mission of delivering outcomes-centric automation solutions for healthcare.
Before joining Omnicell, Dave Ford served as Chief People Officer at Prothena Corporation, where he played a pivotal role in aligning people strategy with clinical and commercialization pathways. He successfully partnered with the Compensation Committee to implement a new equity strategy, introduced flexible stock models, and led a company-wide restructuring following a critical clinical trial outcome.
Prior to Prothena, Dave held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Intercept Pharmaceuticals for nearly seven years, where he was instrumental in strengthening leadership capabilities and driving enterprise-wide HR initiatives in the biopharma sector.
Earlier, Dave spent nearly 15 years at Sanofi in various senior leadership roles including Vice President, Human Resources for Sanofi Genzyme and Vice President, HR North America. He led high-performing HR teams, supported over 20,000 employees, and spearheaded strategic initiatives across employer branding, leadership development, and performance management.
He began his career at Fonterra (formerly New Zealand Dairy Board), where he held multiple leadership roles over 13 years including HR Director for Europe and Latin America, building foundational HR programs across geographies and business functions.
