San Francisco Bay Area ,United States, April 2026 — Janna Groisman has joined Walmart as Vice President, People for Global Technology & Product. Her appointment marks an important leadership move for the company as it continues to strengthen its people strategy across a global, tech-powered, omnichannel business. With extensive experience in HR leadership, talent, development, employee relations, compliance, and executive partnership, she brings a strong and well-rounded people leadership profile to this role.
Before joining Walmart, Janna Groisman was associated with Okta, where she most recently served as SVP, People. In that role, she led a global team responsible for People Business Partners, Talent, Development & Experience, Connection & Community, and Employee Relations & Compliance. Prior to that, she served as VP, People at Okta, further deepening her experience in strategic HR leadership and enterprise-wide people priorities.
Earlier, she held the position of VP, People & Places at Renesas Electronics, where she served as the HR business partner to the IoT & Infrastructure Business Unit and as HR leader for the North America and APAC regions. Her responsibilities included oversight of Global HR Business Partners, Facilities & Real Estate, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations, adding broad regional and functional leadership depth to her career.
Before that, Janna Groisman worked as VP, Human Resources at Lumileds, where she led a team of HR business partners supporting R&D, the LED Solutions Business Unit, and Corporate Functions, in addition to leading the team responsible for Americas HR Operations. She also spent nearly nine years at Applied Materials, where she progressed through several senior HR leadership roles including Managing Director, HRBP, Display BU, Senior Director, HRBP, Display BU, Senior Director, HRBP, Corporate Functions, Director, HRBP, Corporate Functions, Director, HR Operations, and Senior Manager, HR Operations. Across these assignments, she supported senior leadership in Finance, IT, and M&A, while also leading global mobility, immigration, employee and labor relations, compliance, and remote work programs.
Earlier in her career, she managed Expert HR Solutions LLC, providing businesses with support across compliance audits, harassment prevention training, affirmative action planning, and policy development. Before that, she served as Director, Human Resources at Troon Golf LLC, leading talent strategies and global HR programs across a large international operating footprint. She began her earlier professional journey as an Attorney at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, where she advised and represented clients in labor and employment matters, adding a valuable legal and compliance dimension to her HR leadership career.
Alongside her corporate journey, Janna Groisman also serves as a Board Member at City Year San José/Silicon Valley, reflecting her wider engagement in governance and community leadership.
