Leeds, England, December 2025 — Rosemont Pharmaceuticals has announced the appointment of Alok Sonig as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. In this role, Sonig will lead the company’s strategic direction, global growth agenda, and continued focus on patient-centric pharmaceutical innovation, particularly in novel oral liquid medicines.
With close to three decades of leadership experience in the global pharmaceutical industry, Alok Sonig joins Rosemont Pharmaceuticals from Baxter International Inc., where he most recently served as Executive Vice President and Group President – Pharmaceuticals, overseeing the company’s global pharmaceuticals business. His tenure at Baxter followed senior leadership roles including President, Pharmaceuticals Business Unit, where he led large, complex portfolios across regulated markets.
Prior to Baxter, Sonig held significant leadership responsibilities at Lupin Pharmaceuticals, where he served as CEO, US Generics and Global Head of Generics R&D and Biosimilars, driving growth and transformation across the United States and global platforms. Earlier, he was associated with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he served as CEO – Developed Markets, covering the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan, along with earlier leadership roles in North America and global generics.
Earlier in his career, Alok Sonig spent nearly 15 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb, holding multiple executive roles spanning general management, global strategy, commercialization excellence, and marketing. He holds an MBA in Marketing from the American University – Kogod School of Business.
