Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, July 2026 — GreerWalker CPAs & Advisors has appointed Meredith Gallagher as its new Chief People Officer, bringing to the firm more than 25 years of human resources leadership experience across professional services, financial services, and business advisory organizations. She joins GreerWalker with deep expertise in talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, employee experience, total rewards, and HR transformation.
In her new role, Meredith will lead GreerWalker’s enterprise-wide people strategy, overseeing talent acquisition, leadership development, workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, organizational culture, and HR operations. She will partner closely with the firm’s leadership team to strengthen organizational capability, enhance the employee experience, and support the firm’s continued growth.
Prior to joining GreerWalker, Meredith served as Senior Director, Talent Solutions at Forvis Mazars US, where she led the firm’s HR Business Partner function. In this role, she oversaw a national team of HR Business Partners responsible for aligning people strategy with business objectives through workforce planning, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and scalable talent solutions. She worked closely with senior leaders to implement data-driven HR strategies that supported business growth while fostering a high-performance culture.
Earlier, she was Senior Director, Talent Experience at Forvis Mazars US, where she led the Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Performance, and Employee Engagement functions. During a period marked by significant organizational transformation—including a merger of equals and a major acquisition—she successfully guided multiple talent functions through large-scale integration while strengthening employee experience and organizational culture.
Before the formation of Forvis Mazars US, Meredith held the same Senior Director, Talent Experience role at FORVIS, where she continued to build integrated talent strategies focused on recruitment, rewards, leadership capability, performance management, and employee engagement across the rapidly expanding professional services firm.
Prior to FORVIS, Meredith spent more than six years with Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP (DHG), progressing through increasingly senior HR leadership roles. As Executive Vice President, Human Resources, she led the HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams, serving as a trusted advisor to firm leadership while strengthening strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, leadership development, and employee engagement. Earlier, as Regional HR Business Partner, she led HR support across the Carolinas before expanding her responsibilities across the Southern region during the COVID-19 pandemic, partnering with business leaders to improve employee retention, engagement, and organizational resilience.
Earlier in her career, Meredith served as Vice President, Human Resources at The Citco Group of Companies, where she led strategic HR initiatives supporting business operations. She also held the position of Human Resources Manager at Baker & Taylor, overseeing core HR operations, talent management, and employee relations.
She began building her HR leadership foundation during more than a decade with AlliedBarton Security Services, where she served as District Support Manager, following an earlier role as Human Resources Manager at Barton Protective Services, gaining extensive experience across employee relations, operational HR, workforce management, leadership coaching, and organizational development.
Throughout her career, Meredith has established a strong reputation for building high-performing teams, developing people-centric business strategies, leading organizational transformation, and creating workplace cultures where employees can thrive while driving sustainable business performance.
