In this global role, he leads end-to-end talent acquisition strategy as Immutable continues its rapid growth journey as one of Australia’s fastest-ever growing unicorns.
In his current role as Global Head of Talent at Immutable, Mathias Agu oversees global talent acquisition, scaling hiring strategies to support Immutable’s expanding technology, engineering, and business teams worldwide. His elevation reflects sustained leadership impact across multiple talent leadership roles within the organization over nearly four years.
Prior to this appointment, Mathias progressed through several senior talent leadership roles at Immutable, including Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, Manager, Talent Acquisition, Lead, Talent Acquisition, and Senior Talent Acquisition Partner. Across these roles, he led technical and engineering hiring, built high-performing talent teams, and supported the company during key growth milestones, including periods of accelerated scaling and increased global visibility.
Before joining Immutable, Mathias served as Talent Acquisition Manager at TechTarget, where he led a global team of technical talent acquisition partners. Earlier, he was Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at BrightTALK, leading global hiring across technical and commercial roles during the company’s acquisition by TechTarget.
Earlier in his career, Mathias built strong recruitment leadership foundations at Monroe Consulting Group in Asia, progressing from Recruitment Consultant to Senior Recruitment Consultant and Assistant Division Head, managing recruitment operations across Malaysia and the wider region. He also worked with Six Degrees Executive in Australia while completing his MBA.
