New Delhi, India, December 2025 – Insecticides (India) Limited (IIL) has announced the appointment of Mr. Devendra Kumar Ray as Chief Operating Officer (COO), marking a significant addition to the company’s leadership team as it advances its operational excellence and sustainability agenda.
With a distinguished career spanning over 35 years, Mr. Ray brings deep expertise in large-scale chemical manufacturing, operations management, process development, technology transfer, and strategic project execution. His leadership journey has consistently delivered improvements in efficiency, safety, sustainability, and Responsible Care across complex and globally integrated manufacturing environments.
Prior to joining IIL, Devendra Kumar Ray most recently served as Whole Time Director & President – Operations at Cohizon Life Sciences Ltd. (formerly Sajjan India Ltd.), where he led end-to-end operations, including manufacturing, EHS&S, technology transfer, project management, compliance, and manufacturing excellence, reporting directly to the Board.
Earlier, he held senior leadership roles as President – Operations at Neogen Chemicals Limited, Director of Operations at Acmechem Ltd., and spent over a decade at PI Industries Ltd., where he served as President and Vice President, heading manufacturing, operations, projects, and EHS across large-scale facilities.
His career also includes impactful stints at Cheminova India Limited (now FMC Ltd.), Atul Ltd., Searle India, and Hoechst India, where he contributed significantly to operational transformation, capacity expansion, and organizational growth.
Mr. Devendra Kumar Ray holds a B.Tech in Chemical Technology from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI), Kanpur, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Allahabad, providing a strong technical foundation that has underpinned his leadership across manufacturing-intensive organizations.
