Eric Coleman Appointed as President of Business Insurance at Farmers Insurance

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., April 10, 2024 — Farmers Insurance® has welcomed Eric Coleman as its new President of Business Insurance, a role he assumed on April 10, 2024. In his new position, Coleman will oversee commercial underwriting, product management, strategic planning, finance, and new market development within the company’s business insurance sector. He will report directly to Raul Vargas, the Chief Executive Officer of Farmers Insurance.

Coleman brings over two decades of industry expertise to Farmers, having previously held several senior leadership positions at Nationwide. His most recent role involved leading Nationwide’s small commercial business unit, where he managed a wide-ranging national product portfolio along with regional operations. Prior to his tenure at Nationwide, Coleman also gained substantial experience at Travelers, focusing on regional leadership and home office product management.
