Watertown, Massachusetts, United States, January 2026 — Lisa Amaya Price has started a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at Disc Medicine.
In her new role, Lisa will lead Disc Medicine’s global people strategy, supporting organizational scale-up, leadership development, workforce planning, and culture as the company advances its mission to transform the lives of patients with hematologic disorders through innovative therapeutics.
Immediately prior to joining Disc Medicine, Lisa served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals. As the company’s first CHRO, she partnered closely with the CEO and Board, led executive succession planning, evolved performance and compensation frameworks across the US and Europe, and played a key role in due diligence and integration planning following Deciphera’s 2024 merger with ONO Pharmaceutical.
Before Deciphera, Lisa was Chief People Officer at LGC, a private-equity-owned global life sciences organization. In this role, she worked with the CEO and Board on remuneration governance, executive transitions, M&A due diligence, and post-acquisition integrations, while establishing a scalable global HR operating model with shared services and centers of expertise.
Earlier in her career, Lisa held senior HR leadership roles at Scholar Rock and Takeda. At Scholar Rock, she supported rapid organizational growth and executive hiring, while at Takeda she led organization and talent initiatives for the landmark $62 billion Shire acquisition and later served as Global Head of HR for the Vaccines Business Unit, focusing on workforce planning and organizational design across multiple countries.
Lisa also brings deep experience from Biogen, where she spent several years in progressively senior HR leadership roles across global medical affairs, corporate development, and talent acquisition. Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership positions at Weber Shandwick, Metro International, and American Financial Systems, building a strong foundation in global HR strategy, executive partnership, and organizational transformation.
