Nottingham, England, United Kingdom, February 2026 — Kristina Lloyd-Fisher FCIPD has started a new role as Director of People at Nova Education Trust. In this role, she will lead the Trust’s people strategy, supporting the development of inclusive, high-performing school cultures across its cross-phase academy network.
Kristina brings extensive experience in people leadership within the education sector. Most recently, she spent over six years at L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, where she served as Head of Human Resources, overseeing HR delivery across a growing portfolio of schools. In this role, she led a team of HR professionals, embedding a pragmatic and empowering HR model focused on enabling line managers and raising standards for pupils and staff alike. Prior to this, she held the position of Senior Human Resources Business Partner, managing HR business partnering and resourcing teams supporting schools across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.
Earlier in her career, Kristina built a strong foundation in complex employee relations and organisational change during her time at the University of Nottingham, where she worked as Senior HR Advisor, leading on restructures, performance management, and policy implementation within a highly unionised environment. She also spent nearly nine years at Nottingham Trent University, progressing through multiple HR roles and gaining broad generalist experience across operational HR, policy rollout, and senior-level recruitment.
Kristina’s career also includes earlier recruitment and resourcing roles with Security Plus Limited, Beresford Blake Thomas, and Barker Ross, giving her a well-rounded perspective across education, public sector, and commercial environments.
