London, England, February 2026 —Amanda Murphy has started her new role as CEO, Lloyds Business & Commercial, marking a significant leadership milestone in her distinguished banking career. In this position, she will lead one of the UK’s most established business banking franchises, supporting enterprises across the country and strengthening Lloyds’ commitment to sustainable growth and economic development.
Amanda joins the role following a highly successful tenure at HSBC, where she spent over 17 years in senior leadership positions across global markets. Most recently, she served as Head of Commercial Banking, South and Southeast Asia, based in Singapore, leading teams across the region to support corporate clients’ growth ambitions in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
Prior to that, she was Head of Commercial Banking, UK, where she established HSBC UK Commercial Banking following ringfencing requirements and supported UK clients ranging from small businesses to large international corporates, including through the Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier, she served as Head of Corporate Banking, UK, leading a team of approximately 1,000 professionals delivering a full suite of banking solutions to some of the UK’s most successful businesses.
Across her career at HSBC, Amanda has demonstrated strong leadership in corporate and commercial banking, strategic transformation, regulatory adaptation, and client-focused growth. Her appointment to Lloyds Business & Commercial underscores her deep expertise in supporting businesses through complex economic environments.
