Pune, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 — Market Expertise has elevated Dr Shyam Khonde to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). He has assumed the role in February 2026, marking a significant milestone in his leadership journey within the organization.
Dr Khonde has been associated with Market Expertise for over three years, most recently serving as Global Director – Human Resource. In this capacity, he has led HR strategy across India, London, and New York, strengthening global HR frameworks, talent management practices, and organizational development initiatives. His elevation to CHRO reflects the organization’s confidence in his ability to align people strategy with business growth across geographies.
In addition to his corporate role, Dr Khonde contributes to academia and governance, serving on the Industry Advisory Council at Kennedy University of Leadership and as a Member of the Management Board at Karve Institute of Social Service, reinforcing his commitment to leadership development and institutional excellence.
Prior to joining Market Expertise, Dr Khonde spent nearly 18 years at LG India, where he served as Head – Human Resource Management Services (Senior General Manager), leading HR and labour relations functions. Earlier, he was Group Human Resources Manager (Head – Human Resources) at Apollo Tyres Ltd, overseeing overall HR responsibilities and driving workforce strategy.
His earlier career includes leadership roles at KSB Company, Cipla Health Ltd, KALYANI STEELS LIMITED, and Hindustan Lever Limited, where he built strong foundations in HR development, industrial relations, and administrative leadership across manufacturing and corporate environments.
