Gurugram, Haryana, India, March 2026 — UnitedHealth Group has promoted Biren Rajdev to the role of Director – AI/ML Engineering, recognizing his significant contributions to advancing data science and artificial intelligence capabilities within the organization.
Rajdev has been with UnitedHealth Group for over six years and has played a key role in driving analytics-led innovation across the company’s healthcare ecosystem. Prior to his promotion, he served as Associate Director – Data Science, where he led the analytics strategy and delivered AI/ML-enabled data science, engineering, and business intelligence solutions aimed at enhancing member experience, improving health outcomes, and enabling operational cost efficiencies. His work included initiatives in speech and voice analytics, text analytics, and digital analytics designed to strengthen self-service capabilities and drive data-driven decision-making across business teams.
Earlier, he held the position of Senior Manager – Data Science at UnitedHealth Group, where he led the delivery of data science solutions focused on operational improvements, predictive analytics for adverse event prediction, and strategic initiatives for high-risk member care programs.
Before joining UnitedHealth Group, Rajdev spent over six years with dunnhumby, where he held roles including Lead Applied Data Scientist and Senior Analyst. During this time, he built advanced AI and machine learning models for personalization, pricing optimization, and customer behavior prediction, supporting global retail and consumer goods clients with data-driven insights and targeted marketing strategies.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Mu Sigma as Senior Business Analyst and Business Analyst, where he contributed to healthcare analytics projects and developed dashboards and analytical frameworks to support data-driven decision-making. He also gained early industry exposure through an internship with LG Electronics, working in the R&D department for air conditioning systems.
Biren Rajdev holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. He also completed the Program for Accelerated Capability Enhancement (PACE) from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, focusing on strategic management and financial analysis.
