Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, March 2026 – Annelies Maxwell has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Global Engineering and Construction Pty Ltd, marking a significant leadership milestone as the organization enters an exciting phase of growth.
Annelies has been a key part of Global Engineering and Construction Pty Ltd (GEC) for over two years, most recently serving as General Manager People & Culture and previously as Head of People & Culture, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s people strategy and supporting its expanding operations.
In her new role as Chief People Officer, she will continue to lead global people initiatives, focusing on building a high-performance culture, strengthening workforce capability, and aligning talent strategies with the company’s ambitious growth agenda.
Prior to joining GEC, Annelies served as Global Head of People at Lorna Jane, where she led people strategy across international markets including Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and China, supporting a workforce of over 1,000 employees across 100+ locations.
She also spent over eight years with Maven Dental Group, progressing through multiple roles from HR Administrator to Head of People & Culture, where she led end-to-end HR functions, drove employee engagement initiatives, and contributed to organizational transformation and growth.
Earlier in her career, she gained foundational HR experience with organizations such as Brisbane Lions, Hyatt Regency, and Pat Cash International Tennis Academy, building a strong base in HR operations and learning & development.
Annelies’ elevation reflects her strong leadership capabilities, deep expertise in people and culture, and her ability to drive impactful HR transformation in dynamic and growth-oriented organizations.
