India, March 2026 — Shiney Prasad has embarked on a new journey with Aon as Head of Global Capability Centers. In this new role, he brings more than three decades of leadership experience across insurance, financial services, shared services, digital transformation, operations, and global capability center management. His appointment reflects Aon’s continued focus on strengthening its global capability center ecosystem with experienced leadership that combines strategic vision, operational depth, and cross-border expertise.
Before joining Aon, Shiney Prasad served as Country Head – India at Guardian Life. In that role, he led the company’s India operations and supported its strategic priorities in the market, adding another important chapter to a career shaped by leadership across large, transformation-driven business environments.
Prior to Guardian Life, he was associated with Ernst & Young as Partner and Sector Leader – Insurance for EY India. There, he led the insurance sector practice and advised insurance and reinsurance clients across India on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, market entry, customer experience, digital transformation, actuarial services, operations, technology, ESG, project and change management, risk and control functions, and finance transformation. He also contributed to building advisory capabilities for domestic insurers, multinational insurance firms, and insurance GCCs.
A significant phase of his career was spent at Sun Life, where he held senior leadership roles over more than a decade in Hong Kong SAR. As President Digital Enterprise, Asia, he was a member of the Sun Life Asia Executive Team and oversaw business and technology functions across the region. His responsibilities included brand and marketing, product solutions, distribution, client experience, operations, digital, data and analytics, technology, and infrastructure. He also led shared services globally from the India and Philippines centers, overseeing more than 3,500 employees. Earlier, as Senior Vice President – Enterprise Services and Digital Business Initiatives – Asia, he led digital, technology, operations, and shared services teams across eight Asia markets and helped deliver major efficiency and transformation outcomes.
Earlier in his career, Shiney Prasad held various leadership roles at AIG across the Philippines, India, and Malaysia, where he played a key role in setting up and scaling shared services and operations businesses. He served as CEO of a shared services subsidiary in Kuala Lumpur and also established AIG’s domestic shared services business in India while managing insurance distribution, operations, service delivery, contact center, IT, infrastructure, and facilities responsibilities. In the Philippines, he helped establish and grow AIG’s BPO operations supporting the company’s US life insurance business. Before AIG, he built his early career with leading financial services organizations such as American Express, GE Capital, and Max New York Life, gaining broad exposure across shared services, insurance, foreign exchange, credit cards, trade finance, and supply chain management.
With his strong track record in insurance advisory, digital enterprise leadership, large-scale operations, and GCC management, Shiney Prasad’s move to Aon marks a significant leadership addition for the organization.
