Atlanta, Georgia, United States, April 2026 – The Coca-Cola Company has announced the appointment of Tapaswee Chandele as its Global Chief People Officer, effective May 1, 2026. She succeeds Lisa Chang, who will step down after a distinguished seven-year tenure and continue as a senior advisor through the end of 2026.
Tapaswee Chandele currently serves as Senior Vice President and Executive Assistant to President and Chief Financial Officer John Murphy. Prior to this, she held the role of Senior Vice President of Global Talent, Development, and HR System Partnerships, where she led the company’s worldwide talent management strategy and was a key member of the global HR leadership team.
Having joined Coca-Cola in 2001 in India, Chandele has built a truly global career across multiple geographies, including Türkiye, South Africa, and the United States. Over the years, she has held several leadership roles spanning human resources, talent development, and organizational capability building, contributing significantly to Coca-Cola’s global people strategy.
She also serves on the board of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages in India and is a member of the Board of Directors at Agnes Scott College in Georgia.
In her new role, Chandele will report directly to CEO Henrique Braun, and will be responsible for leading Coca-Cola’s global people agenda, driving talent strategy, leadership development, and organizational transformation across its worldwide operations.
Lisa Chang, who has led the global HR function since 2019, will remain closely associated with the company as a senior advisor and continue her role on the board of The Coca-Cola Foundation. Prior to Coca-Cola, she held senior HR leadership roles at AMB Group LLC, Equifax, Turner Broadcasting System, and The Weather Channel Companies, shaping HR strategies across diverse industries.
This leadership transition reflects Coca-Cola’s continued focus on strengthening its global people strategy as it evolves into a more agile, talent-driven organization.
