Muscat, Oman, September 2024 – Ali Al Lawati has embarked on a significant new chapter as the Chief Executive People, Technology & Culture at OQ, the global integrated energy company headquartered in Oman. In this pivotal role, Ali will oversee the integration of human resources, technology, and corporate culture, aligning them with the strategic goals of OQ to enhance operational efficiency and employee engagement across its international operations.
Prior to joining OQ, Ali served as the Global Human Resources Director – Corporate at SLB in Houston, Texas, for a year, where he was instrumental in shaping corporate human resources strategies and fostering executive leadership development. His tenure at SLB caps nearly two decades of progressive roles within the company, including significant positions such as Regional Managing Director for Oman, Pakistan, and Yemen, and Managing Director for Oman, where he led extensive business and operational expansions.
Before rising to these executive ranks, Ali contributed his expertise as Operations System Manager – Eastern Middle East and held several managerial roles in human resources and operations across various regions, demonstrating a robust track record of leading strategic initiatives that significantly impact business growth and operational excellence.
