Washington, District of Columbia, United States, April 2026 — CohnReznick has announced the appointment of Margaret Smith as Partner, Chief Administration Officer and Chief Transformation Officer, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to strengthening operations and accelerating enterprise-wide transformation.
In her new role, Margaret will partner with leadership and teams across the organization to enhance operational efficiency, drive transformation initiatives, and position the firm for sustained growth in an increasingly dynamic and competitive marketplace. Her appointment comes at a time when organizations are reimagining their operating models to adapt to evolving client expectations, technological advancements, and regulatory complexity.
Margaret brings over three decades of global leadership experience, most recently serving as Senior Managing Director & Executive Director of Corporate Services, Sustainability and Business Operations at Accenture. In this role, she led large-scale global operations, overseeing workplace operations, real estate, procurement, payroll, travel, and business services, while also driving sustainability and enterprise-wide operational excellence.
During her tenure at Accenture, Margaret held several senior leadership roles, including Managing Director – Geographic Services and Business Operations, where she was responsible for integrating global service functions and enabling operational efficiency across geographies. She played a pivotal role in aligning infrastructure, internal services, and business operations to support Accenture’s global growth strategy.
Earlier, she led the creation and expansion of Accenture’s contract management function, scaling it from a small team to a global organization of over 1,200 professionals across 40+ geographies, supporting complex commercial and public sector engagements. Her leadership in transaction contracting, legal operations, and commercial strategy significantly strengthened the organization’s ability to manage large-scale contracts and deliver value-driven outcomes.
Margaret began her career in consulting, building deep expertise across telecommunications, financial services, and government sectors, and later held roles in marketing at Marsh & McLennan Companies, laying the foundation for her broad-based business and operational acumen.
She holds an MBA in International Business from The George Washington University, further complementing her global leadership perspective.
