Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Rustomjee has announced the appointment of Salil Chinchore as Group Chief Human Resources Officer, marking a significant leadership addition as the organization continues to scale its business and strengthen its people and culture agenda.
In this role, Salil will lead the Group HR function, driving strategic initiatives across talent management, organizational capability building, culture transformation, and workforce strategy, supporting Rustomjee’s vision of building future-ready communities and high-performing teams.
Salil brings over two decades of rich HR leadership experience across leading Indian and global organizations. He joins Rustomjee from ElasticRun, where he served as Chief Human Resources Officer, leading people strategy for a fast-growing, technology-driven logistics platform and enabling scalable talent frameworks during a high-growth phase.
Prior to this, he was Head – Human Resources at Godrej Agrovet Limited, where he led a 30-member HR team and partnered closely with senior leadership to drive enterprise-wide HR transformation. In this role, he played a critical part in enhancing talent practices, strengthening organizational effectiveness, and supporting one of India’s largest agri-business conglomerates.
He also held the position of President – HR at Pidilite Industries Limited, where he led the HR function for the multinational organization, followed by his role as Director – Human Resources at TE Connectivity, where he headed HR for India operations and the Global Shared Services Center, driving growth, talent acquisition, and organizational capability.
Earlier, Salil served as Vice President – HR at Mondelēz International and Associate Vice President – HR at Cadbury plc, where he supported large-scale operations across supply chain, R&D, and manufacturing, leading HR strategy for workforces exceeding 4,000 employees.
His long tenure at Asian Paints saw him transition from HR leadership roles to manufacturing leadership, including serving as General Works Manager, where he led plant operations for a large manufacturing facility. This unique blend of HR and business leadership experience gives him a strong perspective on aligning people strategy with operational excellence.
Salil holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), one of India’s premier institutions for HR education.
