Tokyo, Japan, April 2026 — Mai Goto has started a new position as Chief Financial Officer / Board Member at GE HealthCare Japan, marking a significant milestone in her nearly two-decade journey with GE and GE HealthCare. In this expanded leadership role, she will oversee financial strategy, governance, operational excellence, and board-level decision-making for GE HealthCare’s Japan business while supporting long-term growth in one of the company’s critical global markets.
Prior to this appointment, Mai served as General Manager, Commercial Excellence, Japan at GE HealthCare, where she played a key role in driving business transformation, commercial strategy, and operational performance. Earlier, she held multiple progressive finance leadership roles across Japan and Asia Pacific, including Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, Japan, Finance Manager for Ultrasound & Life Care Solutions, Japan, and regional finance leadership positions supporting Clinical Care Solutions and Life Care Solutions across Asia Pacific.
Mai’s career foundation was built through the prestigious GE Financial Management Program, followed by her tenure in GE Corporate Audit Staff, where she led and supported global audits across the United States, Japan, and Australia. Her experience in corporate governance, audit leadership, compliance, and financial planning provided a strong platform for her subsequent rise within GE HealthCare’s finance organization.
With nearly 19 years of experience across financial management, audit, strategic planning, operational leadership, and commercial excellence, Mai brings deep institutional knowledge and extensive international expertise to her new executive role.
