In this strategic position, Anshu will lead enterprise-wide AI transformation, operational simplification, and innovation initiatives designed to enhance customer experiences, improve business efficiency, and accelerate PayPal’s next generation of digital commerce solutions.
Since joining PayPal in late 2024 as SVP, Engineering: Checkout, Wallets and Global Products, Anshu has already played a critical role in advancing product and engineering capabilities across PayPal’s global ecosystem. Her elevation reflects her proven ability to drive innovation, product leadership, and transformative growth at scale.
Before joining PayPal, Anshu spent over five years at Walmart Global Tech, where she served as SVP & COO, led Walmart Commerce Technologies as Founder & CEO, and held board leadership roles across Walmart Foundation and Walmart Global Tech India. During her tenure, she drove major advancements in commerce technology, operational transformation, and global technology innovation.
Earlier, Anshu held significant product, engineering, and technology leadership positions at Sam’s Club, Walmart eCommerce, Target, Bear Stearns, Nike, and Arvind Limited, building a remarkable career that spans AI, commerce, fintech, retail technology, engineering, and strategic transformation.
In addition to her corporate leadership, Anshu serves on multiple boards including the University of Chicago Alumni Board and Lesbians Who Tech & Allies Executive Advisory Board, underscoring her influence as both a business and community leader.
