Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, United States, May 2026 — Karina Hernandez has joined Associated Materials as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), bringing extensive enterprise HR leadership experience across manufacturing, industrial infrastructure, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, and global operations.
In this new role, Hernandez will lead the company’s human resources strategy, organizational development, workforce transformation, leadership capability, employee engagement, talent management, and culture initiatives as Associated Materials continues advancing its innovation-led growth across North America’s building products industry.
Before joining Associated Materials, Hernandez served as Chief Human Resources Officer at OmniMax, where she led strategic HR initiatives for a major manufacturer of building and outdoor products, strengthening enterprise talent systems, leadership effectiveness, and organizational performance.
Prior to OmniMax, she held the role of Vice President Human Resources at Eaton, where she led HR initiatives across North America for the company’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions division, supporting strategic growth, workforce capability, and operational excellence.
Earlier, Hernandez served as Senior Director Human Resources at L3Harris Technologies, and previously held multiple senior HR leadership positions at Harris Corporation, where she built deep expertise across aerospace, defense, advanced technology, organizational design, and enterprise transformation.
Her career also includes strategic HR leadership at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, where she supported global communications operations, as well as a broad HR progression at Honeywell, where she held multiple roles across HR transformation, generalist leadership, and functional HR strategy.
Hernandez’s professional foundation began at Michigan State University, where she served in personnel and budget leadership, establishing the early operational capabilities that supported her rise into global executive HR leadership.
With over two decades of experience spanning industrial manufacturing, energy, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, and corporate transformation, Hernandez brings broad strategic and operational HR expertise to Associated Materials.
