Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — HDFC Bank has elevated Ashish Sagar to the role of Senior Vice President II & Head – Non-Life Insurance and Investment Products. In his expanded leadership role, he will continue to spearhead the bank’s Non-Life Insurance and Investment Products business, driving product strategy, distribution excellence, and customer-centric financial solutions across one of India’s largest private sector banks.
With over 22 years of experience in banking, financial services, product management, and strategic marketing, Ashish has built a distinguished career focused on developing innovative financial products, strengthening distribution channels, and enhancing customer engagement. His promotion reflects HDFC Bank’s confidence in his leadership and his continued contribution to expanding the bank’s insurance and investment portfolio.
Ashish has been associated with HDFC Bank for nearly 20 years, progressing through a series of leadership roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to his latest promotion, he served as Senior Vice President & Head – Non-Life Insurance & Investment Products, where he led the bank’s strategy for insurance and investment offerings. Earlier, as Senior Vice President & Head – Investment Products & Digital Initiatives (Life Insurance & Mutual Funds), he played a key role in driving digital transformation, product innovation, and customer engagement initiatives across the bank’s wealth and investment businesses.
Earlier in his HDFC Bank journey, Ashish served for more than 11 years as Vice President & Regional Marketing Head – West, leading strategic marketing initiatives across Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. He was instrumental in translating business strategies into impactful marketing programs, strengthening the bank’s regional brand presence, and supporting customer acquisition and cross-selling initiatives. He also held leadership positions as Product Manager – Private Banking and Senior Manager – International TPP & Offshore Products, gaining extensive expertise in wealth management, offshore banking, and product strategy.
Before joining HDFC Bank, Ashish worked with State Bank of India (SBI), where he held the roles of Marketing Manager and Manager – Overseas Expansion, contributing to international business development and strategic marketing initiatives.
Ashish holds a Post Graduate qualification in Marketing, Finance, and Strategy from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow), providing a strong academic foundation for his leadership in banking and financial services.
