Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, July 2026 — Belk has promoted Stephanie M. Rogers to Vice President, HR Business Partner, recognizing her outstanding leadership and more than a decade of contributions to the retailer’s people strategy and business transformation. In her expanded role, she will partner closely with senior business leaders to drive talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, workforce planning, and employee engagement across the organization.
Stephanie has spent over thirteen years with Belk, building an impressive leadership journey across both store operations and human resources. Most recently, she served as Director – Zone and New Format Stores, where she partnered with business leaders to support operational performance and organizational capability across Belk’s evolving retail formats.
Prior to that, she served as Senior Human Resources Manager, leading strategic HR initiatives supporting business growth, talent development, organizational capability, employee relations, leadership coaching, and workforce planning. Earlier, she held the role of Human Resources Project Manager, where she led enterprise HR projects designed to improve organizational effectiveness and strengthen people processes across the business.
Earlier in her Belk career, Stephanie spent more than five years as Regional Human Resources Business Partner, providing strategic HR support across the Birmingham region by partnering with business leaders on talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
She began her journey with Belk in store operations as Assistant Store Manager, where she developed extensive retail leadership experience while driving customer experience, operational excellence, talent development, and business performance.
Before joining Belk, Stephanie served as Store Manager at Old Navy, leading store operations, sales performance, customer service, talent development, and team leadership within one of the retail industry’s leading specialty brands.
Earlier, she spent more than four years with Target, progressing from Guest Service Team Leader to Executive Team Leader, where she gained valuable experience in retail operations, customer experience, people leadership, merchandising, and operational management.
She also built early merchandising expertise during her time with Parisian, where she progressed from Corporate Intern/Merchandising Assistant to Senior Assistant Buyer, supporting merchandise planning, buying, product management, and retail operations. She began her professional career with Compass Bank as a Product Management Intern, gaining foundational business and financial services experience.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from The University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Alabama, strengthening her expertise in business strategy, organizational leadership, and people management.
Her promotion reflects Belk’s commitment to developing internal leadership and recognizes her extensive experience across retail operations, human resources, talent strategy, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
