Montreal, Quebec, Canada, July 2026 — Telescope Therapeutics has appointed Myriam Lavoie as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a significant leadership milestone as the biotechnology company advances its mission to develop innovative therapies for chronic fibrotic diseases. In her new role, she will lead the company’s corporate strategy, fundraising, investor relations, translational research roadmap, and organizational growth while working closely with scientists, co-founders, and academic collaborators to accelerate discovery-stage programs toward clinical development.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, Myriam Lavoie brings extensive expertise in drug development, portfolio strategy, commercialization, rare disease therapeutics, corporate leadership, and business transformation. Her appointment reflects Telescope Therapeutics’ commitment to building a strong leadership team capable of translating breakthrough science into meaningful patient outcomes.
Prior to joining Telescope Therapeutics, Myriam Lavoie served as Senior Advisor – Drug Development and Commercial Strategy at ThinkrBelle, where she advised biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on strategic drug development, commercialization, portfolio expansion, and rare disease launches. Earlier, she was Vice President, Program Lead at Astria Therapeutics, leading the STAR-0310 program and overseeing program strategy, executive governance, cross-functional execution, and board-level engagement. She also founded Lavoie Consulting LLC, providing strategic advisory services across early-stage development, commercialization, market access, and specialty therapeutics.
Earlier in her career, Myriam Lavoie spent nearly 13 years with Biogen, where she held a series of senior global leadership positions, including Executive Director, Global Asset Lead – Multiple Sclerosis and Senior Director, Global Asset Lead – Multiple Sclerosis. During her tenure, she led worldwide portfolio strategy, lifecycle management, geographic expansion, business development assessments, and cross-functional leadership for the company’s multiple sclerosis portfolio. Her broad experience across drug development, commercialization, executive governance, and strategic portfolio management positions her well to lead Telescope Therapeutics through its next stage of scientific and business growth.
