Hyderabad, Telangana, India — Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (BFIL), a fully-owned subsidiary of IndusInd Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Pankaj Khare as its new Chief Information Officer. With a robust track record spanning over two decades in IT and information security, Khare is set to steer the company’s technology initiatives.
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Information Officer at Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (100% Subsidiary of IndusInd Bank)!” Khare remarked on his appointment. In his new role, he will oversee the IT strategies that align with the company’s ambitious financial inclusion goals.
Prior to joining BFIL, Khare held the position of Senior Vice President – IT at Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd. There, he was instrumental in enhancing IT frameworks to support financial operations and customer service platforms in Gurugram, India.
Earlier, Khare was the Head of Information Technology at Pine Labs, where he managed technology strategies that supported the company’s extensive payment solutions services across India.
His tenure as Chief Information Officer at DMI (Digital Management, LLC) from January 2019 to December 2020 involved leading significant digital transformations, establishing global IT strategies, and implementing critical technological solutions that spanned various continents.
Before his roles in senior IT leadership, Khare also shaped IT infrastructures and security measures at Sterlite Power and served as the Director of IT at IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd). His strategic initiatives there included major IT infrastructure overhauls and innovations in airline-specific technologies, which markedly improved operational efficiencies and customer service capabilities.
