Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 – Abhishek Shrivastava has been appointed as Managing Director – India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) at Lubrizol, a global specialty chemicals company committed to advancing mobility, well-being, and modern living. In this pivotal leadership role, Abhishek will be responsible for driving strategic growth across the IMEA region by enhancing localized innovation, expanding manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, and strengthening regional partnerships.
Abhishek takes on this role after serving as Vice President, Innovation and Decision Science at Lubrizol, where he led the company’s foray into emerging markets through new technology development, AI-powered decision tools, and corporate venture initiatives. His focus areas included electrification, data center thermal management, biotechnology, and sustainable product innovation.
Before joining Lubrizol, Abhishek spent six years at DuPont, where he held several senior roles. As Global Director – Quality and Technical Services, he enabled quality and performance advancements in lithography technologies for semiconductor devices. In his prior role as Program Director – Business Transformation, he delivered over $100 million in cost productivity within a year for a fast-scaling $1.5 billion business unit. He also served as Global Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Director at DuPont Water Solutions, overseeing global technology delivery and driving step-change innovation across 11 manufacturing sites.
Earlier in his career, Abhishek was associated with Dow for nearly 11 years in various leadership capacities, including Global R&D Leader, Director of Engineering and Operations, and Research Scientist. During his tenure, he led advanced membrane R&D, launched new water treatment products, managed global R&D portfolios, and aligned innovation pipelines with market needs. His work contributed significantly to Dow’s leadership in clean filtration and sustainable water technologies.
