Gurugram, Haryana, India, November 2025 — Google Cloud has announced the appointment of Amit Kumar as Managing Director, Digital Natives, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career of more than two decades across cloud transformation, enterprise technology, and customer leadership.
In his new role, Amit will spearhead Google Cloud’s engagement with India’s fast-growing ecosystem of digital-native businesses and startups, driving adoption of advanced cloud, data, and Generative AI solutions. Building on his strong foundation as Sales Director – Google Cloud India, he will now lead strategic customer partnerships and go-to-market acceleration initiatives, enabling digital-first organizations to scale innovation, agility, and growth.
Throughout his tenure at Google Cloud, Amit has been instrumental in deepening customer relationships and advancing the company’s mission to empower enterprises with transformative technology. His leadership has contributed to expanding Google Cloud’s footprint in India’s dynamic technology landscape, particularly among high-growth digital enterprises.
Before joining Google Cloud, Amit held key leadership roles at some of the world’s most influential technology companies. At Apple, he served as Country Sales Manager – Enterprise and Education, driving enterprise technology adoption and digital modernization across key verticals. During his tenure at IBM, he led the Software and Cloud business across India and South Asia, enabling enterprise transformation through hybrid cloud and software solutions. Earlier in his career, he spent over 13 years at Microsoft, where he held senior roles including General Manager – Small and Mid-Market Solutions & Partners, and Director – Enterprise Solution Sales, building and leading high-performing teams across diverse business segments.
Amit began his professional journey at Tata Telecom, where he honed his expertise in marketing, business operations, and technology-led transformation. His strategic vision, people-first leadership, and deep understanding of India’s digital landscape position him to drive Google Cloud’s next phase of growth among the country’s most innovative organizations.
