New York, NY, USA, July 2024 – Amy Sheehan has joined EyeBio as Chief Human Resources Officer, bringing extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry to lead the company’s HR function. Amy will be responsible for driving EyeBio’s HR strategies, fostering a high-performance culture, and supporting the company’s mission to develop innovative therapies for eye diseases.
Amy most recently served as Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at IVERIC bio, where she led the HR function for a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing novel treatments for retinal diseases. Her leadership was pivotal in talent acquisition, development, and organizational alignment, contributing to the company’s growth and success over her seven-year tenure.
Before IVERIC bio, Amy was the Vice President of Human Resources at Ophthotech, where she managed HR operations, including talent management and strategic workforce planning. Her efforts helped streamline HR processes and enhance employee engagement.
Amy also served as the Head of Human Resources – Electronic Systems Division at Parker Hannifin, leading the HR function for approximately 350 employees. She played a key role in facilitating strategic assessments in talent acquisition, development, and high-performance work cultures.
Earlier in her career, Amy was the Associate Director of Human Resources at OSI Pharmaceuticals, where she managed talent management and compensation functions for a commercial biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology. She was a senior HR business partner for core areas of the company, contributing significantly to its HR strategies and initiatives.
