Indianapolis, USA, May 2024 – Ivy Tech Community College proudly announces the promotion of Angie Martin to Executive Director of Human Resources. With nearly two decades of robust experience in human resources and financial aid management, Martin is set to lead the HR initiatives across Ivy Tech’s numerous campuses, starting May 2024.

Extensive Career at Ivy Tech Community College:

Angie Martin’s tenure at Ivy Tech spans over 16 years, demonstrating a deep commitment to advancing the college’s mission and enhancing student and employee experiences. Prior to her new role, Martin served as the Executive Director of Student Financial Aid, where she significantly improved the college’s verification processes and financial aid strategies. Her leadership in this area ensured that financial aid operations were seamlessly integrated with Ivy Tech’s broader educational objectives, notably enhancing student satisfaction and institutional efficiency.

Previous Roles and Contributions:

Before her extensive tenure at Ivy Tech, Martin held the position of Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships, where she developed key training programs and managed strategic financial aid operations that supported student recruitment and retention. As an Associate Vice Chancellor, she was instrumental in optimizing the Express Enrollment Center, enhancing customer service and enrollment processes.

Martin’s career also includes impactful roles outside of Ivy Tech, such as the Regional Director of Financial Aid, where she was responsible for overseeing financial aid audits and developing compliance strategies. Her early career steps were marked by significant roles at The Home Depot and Remington Hotels, where she honed her skills in HR management, focusing on diversity, employee relations, and compliance.
