Crerand has stepped into the role of Associate Chief Human Resources Officer at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, marking a significant advancement in his longstanding career with the health system. In this senior leadership role, Anthony will be instrumental in partnering with executive leadership and business unit heads to develop and implement strategic human resource practices that support the organization’s mission and business objectives.
Anthony has been an integral part of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health for over eight years. Most recently, as Director of Human Resources, he provided strategic guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, talent engagement, and retention, while managing complex employee relations and driving organizational improvement initiatives. His ability to leverage human capital analytics and policy expertise has influenced key decisions and advanced HR priorities throughout the system.
Prior to his HR leadership, Anthony served for nearly seven years as Regional Director of Operations within the LGH system, where he oversaw multiple primary care practices and outpatient centers, launched virtual care services, and played a central role in building a high-performance culture. His operational leadership encompassed patient care, staff development, regulatory compliance, and organizational excellence, further cementing his reputation for driving systemic improvement and collaboration across the region.
Anthony’s experience also extends to higher education, having served as an Adjunct Professor at Delaware Valley University. He designed and taught a master’s-level course on ethical, legal, and policy issues in healthcare administration, creating immersive online learning experiences and innovative policies to maximize student engagement and knowledge retention.
Earlier in his career, Anthony held operational leadership roles at WellSpan Health as Senior Practice Manager, and at Family & Community Health Associates as Director of Operations. In these roles, he was responsible for optimizing clinical, business, and administrative processes, managing large multidisciplinary teams, and driving performance improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives across multiple locations.
