Washington, District of Columbia, United States, January 2025 – Perkins Coie has announced the appointment of Anthony Shannon J.D. as the new Chief People Officer. In this role, Anthony will lead the firm’s people strategy, focusing on talent acquisition, organizational development, and fostering an inclusive culture across the firm’s global operations.
Anthony Shannon J.D. brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Perkins Coie. Most recently, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer/Global People Officer at Kobre & Kim, where he led strategic HR initiatives, including the launch of a global HR Business Partner program and the resolution of complex employee relations matters. His contributions were instrumental in enhancing the firm’s global HR strategy and talent operations.

Prior to that, Anthony served as Interim Chief Talent Officer at Norwalk Public Schools, where he oversaw HR functions for over 2,000 employees. He successfully digitized personnel files, implemented a paperless onboarding system, and managed labor relations across multiple bargaining units.
Anthony also held the position of Director of Employee Relations at Achievement First, where he managed labor and employment matters for a network of over 1,800 employees. His responsibilities included conducting investigations, providing legal guidance, and managing benefits programs.
Earlier in his career, Anthony practiced Education and Labor/Employment Law as an Associate at Shipman & Goodwin LLP, where he provided legal expertise on employment-related issues.
