Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2026 — Uber has appointed Arpit Tyagi as Head of Advertising, India, strengthening its advertising leadership as the company continues to expand its retail media and advertising business in one of its fastest-growing markets. Bringing more than 15 years of experience across digital advertising, e-commerce, consumer marketing, retail, and business development, Arpit will lead Uber’s advertising strategy in India, helping brands leverage the platform’s growing consumer ecosystem while driving innovation and business growth.
Prior to joining Uber, Arpit Tyagi served as Director – Client Services at The Trade Desk, where he worked with advertisers and agencies to deliver data-driven advertising solutions and strengthen client partnerships. Before that, he spent more than seven years at Amazon, holding a series of progressively senior leadership positions within Amazon Ads. Most recently, he served as Head – Agency Business, Amazon Ads, leading pan-India agency partnerships to accelerate the adoption of Amazon’s full-funnel advertising solutions across brands and sellers. Earlier, as Lead – Agency Partnerships, he drove revenue growth by expanding product adoption among independent agencies, while his role as Category Lead – Shoes and Apparel focused on scaling advertising solutions and delivering strong category growth.
Before transitioning into digital advertising, Arpit held commercial leadership positions with Pernod Ricard, where he served as National Key Accounts Manager – Premium and Luxury Business, managing the duty-free business across a portfolio of premium global brands. In this role, he led strategic account management, commercial negotiations, pricing, promotions, trade marketing, and portfolio growth while overseeing profit and loss responsibilities across multiple luxury beverage categories.
Earlier in his career, Arpit served as Key Account Manager – Modern Trade at Samsung Electronics, managing strategic retail partnerships for the television and home appliances business, and as Cluster Retail Manager – Retail and Modern Trade (North India) at VIP Industries Limited, where he led retail expansion, modern trade operations, franchise development, and large field teams across northern India. His diverse experience across consumer goods, retail, digital commerce, and advertising has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of customer engagement, business strategy, and commercial growth.
