Ashish Thakur Joins TVS Motor Company as Associate Vice President - Service & Customer Care for EV Business

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, December 2024 – Ashish Thakur, former Global Service Head at Ola Electric, has joined TVS Motor Company as Associate Vice President – Service & Customer Care for its EV Business. With over 26 years of experience in automotive service leadership, Ashish will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer care and service excellence for TVS Motor’s rapidly growing electric vehicle segment.

Ashish brings extensive expertise in building and managing customer service operations. At Ola Electric, he spent nearly three years as Global Service Head, where he established the service department from the ground up and pioneered the company’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) business model.

Before joining Ola Electric, Ashish had a distinguished 23-year career at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he held multiple senior roles, including General Manager – Service. During his tenure, he led customer relations, technical support, product quality improvements, and warranty management across domestic and export markets.

Ashish also served as Zonal Service Head for both the West and East zones, overseeing service operations across multiple states and regions, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, and the North-East. His earlier roles included managing service operations in metropolitan and regional markets, implementing quality assurance initiatives, and driving dealer network performance.

He began his career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at ISGEC Heavy Engineering Limited and later joined Maruti Suzuki as a Graduate Engineer Trainee, progressing to leadership roles through his dedication and expertise.
