Inverurie, Scotland, United Kingdom, December 2024 – Ashley McDonald has been named the Head of People & Culture at Donald Russell Ltd, a renowned fine food supplier based in Aberdeenshire. In her new role, McDonald will oversee all aspects of HR strategy, fostering a people-first culture and ensuring alignment with the company’s growth objectives.
McDonald joined Donald Russell Ltd in November 2023 as an HR Advisor, where she successfully supported key HR initiatives. Before this, she worked at Aker Solutions as a Senior P&O/Recruitment Advisor, driving effective recruitment strategies during a critical period of growth.
At Spirit Energy, she served as an HR Business Partner for over three years, providing strategic HR support and spearheading workforce planning initiatives. Earlier, she was a Resourcing Specialist, ensuring optimal talent acquisition practices.
McDonald’s diverse career also includes roles such as Community Development Advisor at Robertson Group, where she championed community engagement projects, and Employability Worker at shmu, focusing on workforce integration programs. Her international experience includes a year as an English Teacher and Volunteer Co-ordinator at Spitler Primary School in Cambodia.
With over two decades of experience, including positions at BG Group, AGR, and Bristow Group, McDonald brings a wealth of HR expertise and leadership to her new role.
