Over the years, Ashutosh has honed his skills across diverse sectors and responsibilities. Immediately prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Product Manager at Avalara, where he managed the EMEA VAT product portfolio and led cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements on a live global returns platform. There, he developed a deep understanding of compliance, SaaS product delivery, and stakeholder collaboration.
Before Avalara, he worked at Persistent Systems as a Product Manager, overseeing an industry‑leading Master Data Management (MDM) product, coordinating RFI/RFP processes, defining feature requirements, and conducting global client demos. His role required translating complex user needs into actionable product roadmaps—skills that laid the foundation for his strategic thinking and product vision.
Earlier in his career, Ashutosh had technical and operational exposure at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), where as Planning In‑Charge he managed maintenance planning, safety programs, and procurement contracts for a large workforce and equipment base. This grounding in structured planning, process optimization, and project execution adds a unique operational perspective to his product management approach.
With an academic foundation from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (MBA) and a broad exposure across manufacturing, enterprise data, cloud applications, and compliance-driven software, Ashutosh is well-positioned to drive product innovation at Ceipal.
