Toronto, Ontario, Canada, January 2025 – Becki Halko has taken on the role of Head of Talent & Shared Services at MaRS Discovery District, a globally recognized innovation hub. In her new role, Becki will oversee talent management, shared services, and strategic HR initiatives to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the organization. She brings extensive leadership experience to support MaRS’ mission of driving urban innovation and empowering startups in diverse sectors.
Becki’s career spans over two decades, including 10 years at The Hershey Company, where she most recently served as Director of HR – Canada. In this role, she led the HR strategy for a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees across corporate and manufacturing units, focusing on talent management, DEI initiatives, and organizational design. Previously, she held the position of SVP and CFO of the Snacking Division, where she managed finance, IT, and legal functions for a $400M portfolio.
Her earlier tenure at Hershey includes roles such as Vice President – International Finance & Corporate FP&A and Vice President – Global Supply Chain Finance, where she oversaw strategic planning and integrated business processes for global operations, supporting revenues exceeding $8 billion.
Before Hershey, Becki worked at Target Canada as Senior Director of Finance, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the financial processes for the company’s first international expansion, building and leading a 20-member finance team. Her prior experience includes senior finance roles at Molson Coors and a 12-year tenure at Procter & Gamble, where she held various leadership positions in finance, strategy, and supply chain across multiple geographies.
