Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, December 2025 — Benny Thomas has started a new position as Chief Financial Officer at Sami-Sabinsa Group Limited. In this role, he will be responsible for strengthening the group’s financial strategy, governance, and long-term value creation initiatives, supporting business growth across its diversified portfolio spanning nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, standardized herbal extracts, fine chemicals, specialty chemicals, probiotics, and enzymes.
His appointment comes at a time when the health science and evidence-based wellness industry is seeing accelerated global expansion, making strategic finance leadership central to scaling research-backed innovation and manufacturing excellence.
In this new assignment at Sami-Sabinsa Group Limited, Benny Thomas brings deep experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, compliance, treasury, and cross-functional leadership. His elevation to a group-level finance leadership role reflects his strong track record in building robust financial frameworks and enabling sustainable, growth-oriented decision-making.
Prior to this move, he spent close to two decades with Jubilant Biosys Limited, where he progressed through a series of steadily expanding leadership responsibilities. Over roughly 19–20 years, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer – CRDMO, Associate Vice President & Head Finance & Accounts, General Manager & Head Finance and Accounts, Deputy General Manager, and other senior finance roles. Across these assignments, he handled strategic financial planning, audits, regulatory compliance, corporate finance, treasury, enterprise-wide budgeting, and oversight of overseas subsidiaries, while contributing to business expansion and operational excellence.
Earlier, Benny Thomas was associated with BPL Telecom for nearly two years, where his responsibilities spanned financial reporting, planning and analysis, debt restructuring, and CMA preparation, strengthening his grounding in operational finance and business analysis.
He began his career in audit leadership with T. velu Pillai & Co. Chartered Accountants, serving as Manager – Audits, where he was involved in audit management for group companies, shaping his early expertise in governance, controls, and statutory disciplines.
