Illinois, United States, December 2024 – Bill Goldsberry has assumed the role of Chief Information Officer at the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security, under the Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT). In this critical position, Bill will oversee strategic technology initiatives, ensuring robust IT infrastructure, enhanced data security, and seamless digital solutions to support the agency’s mission of protecting Illinois residents.
With extensive experience in web development, application hosting, and team leadership, Bill brings a wealth of knowledge to advance the state’s technological landscape. His leadership will play a pivotal role in enhancing collaboration across agencies and ensuring efficient service delivery.
Prior to joining DoIT, Bill Goldsberry dedicated nearly two decades to Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS), where he most recently served as Senior Manager – Web Development & Hosting. During his tenure, he led the development of advanced web applications and managed hosting environments supporting hundreds of customers, earning recognition for his expertise in systems design, agile software development, and engineering management.
Earlier at LRS, Bill held roles as Web Development Supervisor and Application Development Supervisor, where he spearheaded team reorganization efforts, introduced modern development practices, and mentored junior developers. As Application Development Coordinator, he introduced standardized frameworks for consistent coding practices, fostering innovation and efficiency.
Bill began his career as a Web Application Specialist, excelling in client engagement and delivering tailored web-based solutions. His commitment to excellence has consistently driven project success and customer satisfaction.
