United States, April 2026 — Brian Colby has started a new position as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Pneuma Therapeutics, where he will lead operations across development, manufacturing, and commercialization of the company’s innovative respiratory care solutions.
In his new role, Brian will oversee end-to-end supply chain, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and scalable production. He will play a critical role in advancing the xchange™ nasal dock, a single-use nasal CPAP device designed to enhance positive airway pressure during moderate to deep sedation procedures. His focus will be on driving operational excellence to ensure the reliable delivery of this FDA-cleared technology, improving patient safety outcomes while enabling seamless clinical workflows.
Prior to joining Pneuma Therapeutics, Brian Colby served as Regional Manager, IDN and Accounts, West at Sol-Millennium Medical Group, where he led business development and account management initiatives across key healthcare networks.
He also brings entrepreneurial and commercial experience from his tenure as Broker Associate at Sand and Sea Investments, where he focused on market analysis and client engagement.
Earlier in his career, Brian held leadership roles at Smiths Medical, where he served as OEM Manager, West, consistently exceeding performance targets and ranking among top performers. He also contributed significantly at Excelsior Medical Corp. in business development and training roles, and at CareFusion as an Account Executive, where he delivered strong sales outcomes and customer engagement.
Brian began his professional journey with roles focused on education and healthcare service, including serving as an instructor at The University of Arizona and volunteering at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Banner Health, reflecting his early commitment to healthcare and patient care environments.
With extensive experience across medical devices, healthcare operations, and commercial leadership, Brian brings a strong foundation in scaling operations, driving growth, and delivering impactful healthcare solutions.
