Baltimore, Maryland, United States, March 2025 – Ascension, one of the nation’s leading non-profit and Catholic health systems, has appointed Britney Foster as Director, Human Resources Business Partner. In her new role, Britney will lead workforce strategy and HR operations across multiple hospitals, championing data-driven insights to support executive decision-making and driving performance, retention, and talent development initiatives.
Britney joined Ascension in May 2024 and has since played a pivotal role in aligning HR strategy with the organization’s mission. She has spearheaded the use of HRIS tools for strategic analysis, strengthened labor relations, and contributed significantly to succession planning and workforce forecasting in unionized environments.

Before joining Ascension, Britney served as Vice President, Human Resources – Acting at DTLR, Inc., where she led HR strategy across 260 retail locations and managed a high-performing team of 20 professionals. Her tenure also included the launch of a crisis management training program and implementation of key benefits tracking KPIs to improve talent acquisition and retention.
Prior to that, she was Area Director of HR at Sonesta Hotels, where she led people initiatives across the Baltimore and D.C. properties, and held the position of Sr. Director, Human Resources at Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, where she successfully reduced turnover and drove a cultural transformation through employee engagement programs. Her early HR leadership roles at Nexus Family Healing, Element Fleet Management, and Under Armour further solidified her ability to build strategic, people-first HR ecosystems.
