San Diego, California, United States, December 2024 – Britt Davis has been named the Executive Director, Human Resources Business Partner at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. In this pivotal role, Britt will spearhead HR strategies and organizational initiatives to support Vertex’s mission of transforming lives through innovative medicines.
Britt has been with Vertex Pharmaceuticals for over two years. Most recently, he served as Senior Director, Human Resources, where he played a critical role in driving talent strategies and fostering a culture of innovation. Prior to that, as Director and Head of Human Resources – San Diego Research, he focused on aligning HR practices with the company’s cutting-edge research initiatives.
Before joining Vertex, Britt was the Director of Human Resources at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he supported global commercial operations and R&D functions, driving strategic HR initiatives for over 900 employees across multiple regions, enabling $16 billion in revenue. His efforts included leading diversity-focused initiatives and optimizing talent strategies for organizational growth.
At Viasat Inc., Britt held roles as a People and Culture Business Partner and Technical Recruiter, where he led global HR strategies and managed high-volume recruitment efforts. He also served as Union Lead at the NFLPA Former Player Services, where he directed program management and negotiated agreements, achieving significant budget expansions and program success.
